Create an itinerary including Village des Bories
Visit Village des Bories for a close-up look at the ruins of a small hamlet from Napoleonic times. Wander through this open-air museum to examine about 20 dry stone huts that were used primarily for agricultural reasons. Some of them comprised part of a Gordoise nave--a multipurpose area used as a seasonal dwelling, a tool shed, or even a sheep shelter. • Certainly very nice but it was closed. No information about that we walked some kilometers for nothing .Sad

  • This site is the hard work of many years to rebuild the stone structures of the village. All the work is done without mortar and the rock is of the area. A glimpse into a past way of life.

  • Remote and difficult to drive to but well worth the visit. Supposedly one of the most important of its kind in Europe.
  • Interesting place. House that are made of srones with no clue or mortar used. Stop if you are close by anyway.
