At Ngwenya Glass, you can observe skilled glassblowers using recycled glass to create animal figurines and dishware with African themes. The factory started out as a Swedish aid project that attempted to motivate unemployed young people by getting them interested in the art of glass blowing. Today, the business is owned by an unusual group of entrepreneurs--a farmer, an ex-librarian and a marine engineer. Amenities include a cafe, a chocolate shop, and a kids’ play area in the garden. Ngwenya Glass is just one of the many highlights you can arrange to see using our , online itinerary creator Edition.

It’s a tourist hotspot, with good reason. I love that it’s out of the city centre, overlooks gorgeous mountains. The restaurant offers easy meals, nothing too hectic but quite nice. I enjoyed their carrot cake which they gave us for free after we waited too long for pizza. The shops on the property are arts & craft, unique & something to keep as a souvenir or gift loved ones. Will visit again.
