Create an itinerary including Mlilwane Wildlife Sanctuary
At Mlilwane Wildlife Sanctuary, explore the landscape of grassland plains, native trees, wetlands, and green hills inhabited with a variety of game and wild beasts. The name of the sanctuary translates to "little fires," referring to fires caused by lightning strikes typical for the area, which then lead to the park's mission of becoming Swaziland's first conservation area. A guided nature trail takes you through the unspoiled northern section, or you can horseback ride among zebras and antelopes. Visit an authentic Swazi village for a piece of the local culture. Amenities include a swimming pool and a restaurant overlooking a picturesque pond occupied by hippos and crocodiles. Mlilwane Wildlife Sanctuary is just one of the many highlights you can arrange to see using our , international travel planner Edition.

  • We stayed only one day, but that was enough to experience some of the wildlife very closely. We booked a bike tour with a guide who shows us to some spots where we could get very close to zebras...

  • A great outing, the horse ride is a have to. The scenery is breath taking and wildlife all over. Restaurant has great sandwiches. Take along a loaf of bread or two to feed the fish and turtles at the Restaurant, its a spectacular view as they jostle to get to the bread first.
  • This place puts you in the center of nature, waking up next to animals. We have been able to walk among wildlife and do very nice hikes (biking and horse riding available). The guides and other members of staff are extremely helpful and above any kindness. The center is well located. Note: don’t expect any hippo as they have been sent to another location for security reasons
