  • With seeing so many garnet shops in Prague, I was curious about this beautiful stone and was a bit skeptical about buying a piece of jewelry, with it possibly being glass and not a genuine garnet. On Google, I found the Garnet Museum. The museum included a short video, digging for a garnet, and displays. The ladies working there were very knowledgeable about the stone and gave pointers about have to tell the difference between a real vs. fake and also which were Bohemian Garnets vs. those that would be found around the world. I would recommend going here for educational, as well as, curiosity purposes. In the end, I bought a matching ring and earring set for myself and earrings for my daughter.
  • The museum is very informative and interesting. It’s great to learn something about Bohemian garnet. It’s clean and the jewelry is well-presented. The old jewelry looks amazing :) The information is available in many different languages and the personnel is very friendly and helpful!! The price is fine for the experience you get! I would recommend this museum at any time :)
