  • Tashichho Dzong, the Fortress of Glorious Religion serves as Bhutan's administrative center and seat of government. It is a magnificent piece of massive architecture that houses the Throne Room and the Office of His Majesty the King. It's also where our central monastic body spends the summer. Tashichho Dzong is one of the most prominent landmarks in Thimphu, the capital of Bhutan, making it a famous site for photography. A number of government offices such as the Ministry of Home and Cultural Affairs and the Ministry of Finance are also housed in the Dzong. It is about 2 kilometers from Thimphu town.
  • It was a fort but now this beautiful building is an administrative office.
