Eternal City

Aptly nicknamed the Eternal City, Rome is the birthplace of the Roman Empire, one of the world's greatest civilizations ever.
Take a break from the city and head to Colle del Gianicolo and Riserva Naturale Monte Soratte. You'll explore and learn at Vatican Museums and Musei Capitolini. Take a break from Rome with a short trip to Riva di Polline in Trevignano Romano, about 48 minutes away. There's still lots to do: delve into the distant past at Colosseum, admire the striking features of Pantheon, steep yourself in history at St. Peter's Basilica, and don't miss a visit to Roman Forum.
