The kingdom's capital and most modern city, Thimphu offers a mix of ancient traditions and modern commercialism.

New Delhi, India to Thimphu is an approximately 6-hour flight. You can also do a combination of train and bus; or do a combination of train, bus, and car. Kick off your visit on the 21st (Mon): take in the spiritual surroundings of Ugyen Pema Woedling Zangthopelri, pause for some photo ops at Dasho Nishioka Chorten, contemplate in the serene atmosphere at Dzongdrakha Monastry, take some stellar pictures from Paro Airport Bird's Eye View Point, thentake in the spiritual surroundings of Druk Choeding, and finally contemplate in the serene atmosphere at Kyichu Lhakhang. Get ready for a full day of sightseeing on the next day: snap pictures at Tachogang Lhakhang Bridge, thencontemplate the waterfront views at Paro River, and then don't miss a visit to Jangtsa Dumtseg Lhakhang.
