On the 15th (Wed), take in the dramatic scenery at Gollinger Wasserfall, take in the dramatic natural features at Lammerklamm, then admire the striking features of Fortress Hohensalzburg, then contemplate in the serene atmosphere at Franziskanerkirche, and finally take in the spiritual surroundings of St. Peter's Abbey (Stift St. Peter). The cultural, economic, and political center of the country, Vienna has developed from its early Celtic and Roman roots into a medieval and Baroque city, with an old town that was designated a World Heritage Site in 2001.
Start off your visit on the 17th (Fri): stroll through Schoenbrunn Palace, then don't miss a visit to Judenplatz, and then take in the architecture and atmosphere at St. Stephen's Cathedral. On the 18th (Sat), you'll have a packed day of sightseeing: explore the world behind art at Belvedere Palace, take in the architecture and atmosphere at Schottenkirche, then contemplate the long history of Freyung, and finally appreciate the extensive heritage of Historic Center of Vienna.

You might consider the city of Budapest, divided by the Danube River into two distinctive cities--Buda and Pest--to be essentially one large World Heritage Site.
