You'll discover tucked-away gems like Cascata delle Marmore and Duomo di Orvieto. Take a break from Rome with a short trip to Pozzo di San Patrizio in Orvieto, about 2 hours away. There's still lots to do: steep yourself in history at Colosseum, explore the ancient world of Palatine Hill, take in the architecture and atmosphere at St. Peter's Basilica, and appreciate the extensive heritage of Piazza Navona.

Step off the beaten path and head to Castillo de Tossa de Mar and Vila Vella (Old Town). Step off the beaten path and head to Alcudia Old Town and Port de Pollenca Beach.
