Modern yet historic, Málaga is a lively city famous for being the birthplace of Pablo Picasso.
On the 19th (Fri), contemplate the long history of Malaga Cathedral, then shop like a local with Artsenal, and then steep yourself in history at Castillo de Gibralfaro. Keep things going the next day: browse the fresh offerings at Mercado Central de Atarazanas, view the masterpieces at Gravura Taller de Grabado, then look for all kinds of wild species at El Torcal de Antequera, and finally take in the exciting artwork at Mahatma Showroom.

Zurich, Switzerland to Malaga is an approximately 7- hour combination of flight and bus. You can also do a combination of train, flight, and bus; or drive. Expect somewhat warmer temperatures when traveling from Zurich in April; daily highs in Malaga reach 26°C and lows reach 14°C. Finish up your sightseeing early on the 21st (Sun) so you can go by car to Granada.
