Considered a cultural, artistic, and architectural jewel of Italy, Florence is the birthplace of the Italian Renaissance.
Go for a jaunt from Florence to Pisa to see Leaning Tower of Pisa about 1h 15 min away. There's much more to do: steep yourself in history at Cathedral of Santa Maria del Fiore, explore the world behind art at Pitti Palace, get a sense of history and politics at Palazzo Vecchio, and admire the striking features of Campanile di Giotto.
