Ullapool is a village of around 1,500 inhabitants in Ross-shire, Scottish Highlands. You'll enjoy a bit of beach vacationing at Achmelvich Beach and Clachtoll Beach Campsite. Take a break from the city and head to Inverpolly Nature Reserve and The Minch. Change things up with a short trip to Falls of Kirkaig in Inverkirkaig (about 48 minutes away). Nigg Old Church and Glen Strathfarrar are good opportunities to explore the local culture. Visiting Nairn Beach and Cairngorms National Park will get you outdoors. You'll find plenty of places to visit near Inverness: Hillside Path (in Foyers), Loch Beinn a Mheadhoin (in Cannich) and Loch Affric Circular Walk (in Beauly).
