Get a sense of the local culture at Peggy Guggenheim Collection and Museo Ebraico di Venezia. Museum-lovers will appreciate Doges' Palace and Gallerie dell'Accademia. Get a sense of the local culture at Galleria dell'Accademia and Pitti Palace. Head to Mercato Centrale and I'Magofor plenty of shopping. Step out of Florence with an excursion to Castello del Trebbio in Santa Brigida--about 36 minutes away. There's still lots to do: take in the architecture and atmosphere at Cathedral of Santa Maria del Fiore, admire the striking features of Campanile di Giotto, take some stellar pictures from Piazzale Michelangelo, and get to know the fascinating history of Piazza della Signoria.
