The country's second city, Busan has often been referred to as South Korea's summer capital.
On the 21st (Sun), stroll through Dongbaekseom Island. On the 22nd (Mon), you'll have a packed day of sightseeing: stroll through Haeundae Beach, take in the spiritual surroundings of Haedong Yonggung Temple, then stroll through Songjeong Beach, and finally kick back and relax at Gwangalli Beach.

One of the most popular tourist destinations in the Republic of Korea, Gyeongju combines a rich cultural heritage with mountain and coastal scenery.
Kick off your visit on the 24th (Wed): contemplate the waterfront views at Anapji Pond, then examine the collection at Gyeongju National Museum, then contemplate in the serene atmosphere at Bulguksa, and finally appreciate the history behind Seokguram Grotto.

Getting from Busan to Gyeongju by car takes about 1.5 hours. Other options: do a combination of subway and bus. When traveling from Busan in May, plan for much warmer days and about the same nights in Gyeongju: temperatures range from 78°F by day to 56°F at night. Finish your sightseeing early on the 25th (Thu) so you can drive to Sokcho.

Kick off your visit on the 25th (Thu): explore the wealth of natural beauty at Seoraksan National Park. Get ready for a full day of sightseeing on the next day: admire the sheer force of Biryong Falls, trek along Ulsanbawi Rock, and then contemplate the long history of Gwongeumseong Fortress.

Traveling by car from Gyeongju to Sokcho takes 4.5 hours. Alternatively, you can do a combination of bus and flight; or do a combination of bus, taxi, and flight. Finish your sightseeing early on the 26th (Fri) so you can drive to Seoul.

Get out of town with these interesting Seoul side-trips: Paju (The Third Tunnel & DMZ). Spend the 29th (Mon) exploring nature at Bukhansan National Park. Wrap up your sightseeing on the 1st (Thu) early enough to travel to Jeju.

The main town on the largest of Korea's islands, Jeju has a volcanic landscape protected by UNESCO.
Satisfy your inner culture vulture at Gwaneumsa Temple and Haenyeo Museum. Get in touch with nature at Hamdeok Beach and Manjanggul Cave. When in Jeju, make a side trip to see Seongsan Ilchulbong in Seogwipo, approximately 1h 20 min away. There's lots more to do: take in the awesome beauty at Hallasan National Park, stroll through Sarabong Park, delve into the lush surroundings at Jeolmul Natural Forest Resort, and don't miss a visit to Mysterious Road (Dokkaebi Road).

Getting from Seoul to Jeju by flight takes about 3.5 hours. Other options: do a combination of car and ferry; or do a combination of train and ferry. Traveling from Seoul in June, expect nights in Jeju to be about the same, around 66°F, while days are little chillier, around 75°F. On the 6th (Tue), you're off tohome.
