A beautiful and romantic city fit for any itinerary, Paris brims with historic associations and remains vastly influential in the realms of culture, art, fashion, food and design.
Get some historical perspective at Champs-Elysees and Montmartre. Get a sense of the local culture at Le Marais and Musée d'Orsay. When in Paris, make a side trip to see Palace of Versailles in Versailles, approximately 44 minutes away. There's lots more to do: admire the masterpieces at Louvre Museum, kick back and relax at Paris Plage, contemplate the waterfront views at River Seine, and admire the striking features of Arc de Triomphe.

You can take a train from London to Paris in 2.5 hours. Other options are to do a combination of train and flight; or do a combination of car and train. The time zone changes from Greenwich Mean Time (GMT) to Central European Time (CET), which is usually a 1 hour difference. In many ways the most modern of Italian cities, Milan is a busy, elegant metropolis with an impressive list of grand palaces, fine churches, and important museums.
Start off your visit on the 7th (Fri): admire the landmark architecture of Galleria Vittorio Emanuele II, then pause for some serene contemplation at Duomo di Milano, then wander the streets of Navigli District, and finally examine the collection at Tour delle Merlate - Castello Sforzesco. On your second day here, look for all kinds of wild species at Parco Faunistico le Cornelle, steep yourself in history at Il Cenacolo, then appreciate the extensive heritage of Piazza del Duomo, and finally stroll through Bagno Targhini 308.

You can drive from Zurich to Milan in 3.5 hours. Other options are to do a combination of train and flight; or take a train. In April, Milan is a bit warmer than Zurich - with highs of 22°C and lows of 11°C. Wrap up your sightseeing on the 9th (Sun) to allow time to take a train to Venice.
