Long regarded as a gray and traffic-congested provincial town with little tourist appeal, Pristina today possesses a youthful vibrance and a newfound sense of sophistication, as the result of the city's large community of foreign functionaries.
Venture out of the city with trips to Pec (Patriarchate of Pec & Old Bazaar of Peja), Prizren (Emin Pasa Camii (Emin Pasha Mosque), Kalaja Fortress, &more) and Gracanica Monastery (in Gracanica). There's much more to do: take in the architecture and atmosphere at Visoki Decani Monastery, get advice or help at Pristina National Library, walk around Germia Park, and take an in-depth tour of Kosovo Museum.

London, UK to Pristina is an approximately 6.5- hour flight. You can also drive; or do a combination of car and ferry. The time zone changes from Greenwich Mean Time to Central European Time, which is usually a 1 hour difference. You'll have a few hours on the 14th (Sun) to wrap things up before traveling to Podgorica.

Podgorica is the capital and largest city of Montenegro. Kick off your visit on the 14th (Sun): pause for some serene contemplation at Saborni Hram Hristovog Vaskrsenja. On the 15th (Mon), you'll have a packed day of sightseeing: snap pictures at Virpazar-old-bridge, then get a dose of the wild on a nature and wildlife tour, and then contemplate the waterfront views at Lake Skadar.
