Best known for its Champagne production, Épernay is a small town featuring several famous brands, including Moët & Chandon, that have been aged in the miles of tunneled cellars carved from chalk rock beneath the town.
Take a break from the city and head to Foret Domaniale de Verzy and Parc Argonne Decouverte. You'll discover tucked-away gems like Champagne Pierre Legras and Champagne Domi Moreau et Fils. Change things up with a short trip to Memorial de Dormans 14-18 in Dormans (about 32 minutes away). There's more to do: learn about winemaking at Champagne Thierry Rodez and hike along Champagne Route (Route Touristique du Champagne).

The Wine Capital of the Burgundy region in the Côte-d'Or department, Beaune is a walled city with features remaining from the pre-Roman and Roman eras in eastern France.
Start off your visit on the 11th (Sat): learn about winemaking at Domaine DEBRAY, get interesting insight from Ferme Fruirouge, learn about winemaking at La Cave de l'Ange Gardien, then examine the collection at Musee de l'Hotel-Dieu, then explore the world behind art at Dalineum, and finally do a tasting at Veuve Ambal.
