Considered a cultural, artistic, and architectural jewel of Italy, Florence is the birthplace of the Italian Renaissance.
Florence Academy of Fine Arts and Gallerie Degli Uffizi will appeal to museum buffs. You'll discover tucked-away gems like Pitti Palace and Guardastelle Vineyard. There's still lots to do: make a trip to Piazzale Michelangelo, contemplate the long history of Basilica of Santa Croce, stop by Jean Saade, and take in the spiritual surroundings of Cathedral of Santa Maria del Fiore.

Reykjavik, Iceland to Florence is an approximately 9- hour flight. You can also do a combination of flight and train; or do a combination of flight and bus. Fira, the busy capital of Santorini, sits on the very edge of a volcanic caldera.
