Known as the "judicial capital of the world," The Hague is the center for everything official in the Netherlands: the home of the Dutch government and parliament, the workplace of the King and Queen, and the base of many international affairs such as the International Court of Justice and the International Criminal Court.
On the 17th (Fri), make a trip to Markt. On the 18th (Sat), you'll have a packed day of sightseeing: take an in-depth tour of Panorama Mesdag, then find something for the whole family at Madurodam, then examine the collection at Louwman Museum The Hague, and finally don't miss a visit to Beestenmarkt.

Drive from Amsterdam to The Hague in an hour. Alternatively, you can take a train; or take a bus. In August in The Hague, expect temperatures between 24°C during the day and 15°C at night. On the 20th (Mon), you'll have the morning to explore before heading off to Rotterdam.

Located in the South Holland province, Rotterdam is one of the Netherlands' most lively cities, as well as one of the largest trading ports in the world.
Step out of Rotterdam to go to Kinderdijk and see World Heritage Kinderdijk, which is approximately 32 minutes away. There's still lots to do: see the interesting displays at Royal Delft - Koninklijke Porceleyne Fles, take in the views from Erasmus Bridge, take a leisurely stroll along Old Harbour, and take in the architecture and atmosphere at Nieuwe Kerk.
