Barcelona, the country’s second-largest city, is a cosmopolitan urban center known for its throbbing youthful energy and stellar architecture.
You'll explore the less-touristy side of things at Ciutat Vella and Barri de Gracia. You'll enjoy a bit of beach vacationing at Fenals Beach and Playa de La Barceloneta. Take a break from Barcelona with a short trip to Vila Vella (Old Town) in Tossa de Mar, about 1h 10 min away. There's still lots to do: stroll around Parc Guell, admire the striking features of Casa Batllo, make a trip to Casa Mila - La Pedrera, and let your taste buds guide you at a local gastronomic tour.

Known for its impressive hillside cascade of colorful stone buildings down to the Mediterranean shore, Amalfi is the cultural and commercial heart of southern Italy's Amalfi Coast.
Relax by the water at Fornillo and Bagni d'Arienzo Beach Club, Positano. Step off the beaten path and head to Paestum Ruins and Il Tempio di Nettuno o Poseidone o di Hera II. Step out of Amalfi to go to Massa Lubrense and see Baia di Ieranto, which is approximately 1h 20 min away.
