Once a village of humble fishermen, Marbella is now one of the most cosmopolitan beach resorts on Spain’s world-famous Costa del Sol, boasting swanky nightclubs, classy hotels, and expensive restaurants.
On the 26th (Wed), contemplate the long history of Iglesia Mayor de la Encarnacion, then take a stroll through Marbella Old Quarter, then get some thrills out on the water with a waterskiing or jet-skiing adventure, and finally kick back and relax at Puerto Cabopino Beach and Marina. Keep things going the next day: don't miss a visit to Alameda Del Tajo, take a stroll through La Ciudad, and then explore the fascinating underground world of Pileta Caves (Cueva de la Pileta).

Traveling by car from Marbella to Gibraltar takes an hour. Alternatively, you can take a bus. When traveling from Marbella in July, plan for little chillier days and about the same nights in Gibraltar: temperatures range from 32°C by day to 24°C at night. Finish your sightseeing early on the 30th (Sun) to allow enough time to travel to San Fernando.
