In many ways the most modern of Italian cities, Milan is a busy, elegant metropolis with an impressive list of grand palaces, fine churches, and important museums.
Explore Milan's surroundings by going to La Citta Alta (in Bergamo) and Museo Egizio (in Turin). There's still lots to do: take in the spiritual surroundings of Duomo di Milano, explore the world behind art at Pinacoteca Ambrosiana, take in the architecture and atmosphere at Basilica San Lorenzo Maggiore, and get to know the fascinating history of Piazza del Duomo.

Naples

Naples is the capital of the Italian region Campania and the third-largest municipality in Italy after Rome and Milan. Take a break from Naples with a short trip to Paestum Ruins in Paestum, about 1h 35 min away. And it doesn't end there: delve into the distant past at Pompeii Archaeological Park, examine the collection at Museo Archeologico Nazionale di Napoli, admire the masterpieces at Museo Cappella Sansevero, and make a trip to Via San Gregorio Armeno.

Considered a cultural, artistic, and architectural jewel of Italy, Florence is the birthplace of the Italian Renaissance.
Go for a jaunt from Florence to Pisa to see Leaning Tower of Pisa about 1h 20 min away.
