Modern yet historic, Málaga is a lively city famous for being the birthplace of Pablo Picasso.
Popular historic sites such as Albayzin and Castillo de Gibralfaro are in your itinerary. Step off the beaten path and head to El Tajo and El Torcal Natural Park. Get out of town with these interesting Malaga side-trips: Sierra De Las Nieves (in El Burgo), Ride With Me (in Casarabonela), Puente Nuevo (in Ronda), Marbella Old Quarter (in Marbella), Nerja (Fundación Cueva de Nerja & Playa de Burriana) and Basílica de San Juan de Dios (in Granada). The adventure continues: get engrossed in the history at Alcazaba and look for all kinds of wild species at Butterfly Park of Benalmadena.

Dublin, Ireland to Malaga is an approximately 6-hour combination of bus, flight, and train. You can also do a combination of ferry, train, and bus; or do a combination of ferry and car. The time zone changes from Greenwich Mean Time to Central European Time, which is usually a 1 hour difference. Traveling from Dublin in February, things will get a bit warmer in Malaga: highs are around 20°C and lows about 9°C. Finish up your sightseeing early on the 10th (Fri) so you can catch the train to Cordoba.

Andalucía’s thousand-year-old city, Córdoba, was once the capital of both the Roman Empire and the Moorish Kingdom, representing an alluring mix of cultural and political history.
Start off your visit on the 10th (Fri): get engrossed in the history at Palacio de Viana, then make a trip to Patios de Cordoba, then wander the streets of Jewish Quarter (Juderia), and finally make a trip to Calleja de las Flores. On the 11th (Sat), you'll have a packed day of sightseeing: fly down the slopes at Cave of Pileta, then explore the historical opulence of Castillo de Almodovar del Rio, and then get engrossed in the history at Archaeological Ensemble of Madinat Al-Zahra.

You can take a train from Malaga to Cordoba in an hour. Alternatively, you can drive; or take a bus. Traveling from Malaga in February, plan for slightly colder nights in Cordoba, with lows around 5°C. Finish your sightseeing early on the 12th (Sun) so you can take a train to Seville.

A city of rich Moorish heritage, Seville is the cultural and financial center of southern Spain, and the site of numerous festivals throughout the year.
Kick off your visit on the 12th (Sun): delve into the distant past at Archaeological Ensemble of Italica, explore the world behind art at Seville Museum of Fine Arts, then admire the striking features of Casa de Pilatos, and finally wander the streets of Barrio Santa Cruz. On the next day, wander the streets of Triana, then step into the grandiose world of Palacio de San Telmo, then examine the collection at Palace of the Countess of Lebrija, and finally see the interesting displays at Museo del Baile Flamenco.

Take a train from Cordoba to Seville in an hour. Alternatively, you can drive; or take a bus. In February, plan for daily highs up to 18°C, and evening lows to 8°C. On the 14th (Tue), you'll have the morning to explore before heading back home.
