Built on seven hills, Lisbon has experienced a renaissance in recent years, making it the cultural star of Portugal.
Get some historical perspective at Mosteiro dos Jeronimos and Park and National Palace of Pena. Do some cultural sightseeing at Castelo dos Mouros and Museu Nacional do Azulejo. Get out of town with these interesting Lisbon side-trips: Sintra (Quinta da Regaleira, MU.SA - Museu de Artes de Sintra, &more) and Evora (Templo Romano de Evora (Templo de Diana) & Capela dos Ossos). There's lots more to do: get a taste of the local shopping with Museu Calouste Gulbenkian, don't miss a visit to Belém Tower, indulge in some culinary diversions at a local gastronomic tour, and wander the streets of Bairro Alto.

If you are flying in from Brazil, the closest major aiport is Humberto Delgado Airport (Lisbon Portela Airport). In November in Lisbon, expect temperatures between 21°C during the day and 11°C at night. Finish your sightseeing early on the 16th (Fri) to allow enough time to travel back home.
