Iceland's southernmost village, Vik, sports some of the country's wildest and most dramatic coastline.
Take a break from the city and head to Reynisfjara Beach and Dyrhólaey. Step off the beaten path and head to Black Sand Beach and Voyages Friendship Statue. When in Vik, make a side trip to see Seljalandsfoss - Waterfall in Hella, approximately Hella away. There's still lots to do: get engrossed in the history at Skogar Museum, take in the dramatic natural features at Reynisdrangar, admire the sheer force of Skogafoss, and contemplate in the serene atmosphere at Reyniskyrka Church.
