Dating back to the 14th century, Wat Yai Chai Mang Khon remains one of the city's most famous and scenic holy sites. This magnificent example of Buddhist religious architecture was built by Uthong, the first ruler of the kingdom of Ayutthaya. Expanded and adorned with new buildings over the centuries, the religious complex is now famous for its imposing chedi--a large statue of reclining Buddha--and many other architectural features, as well as the peaceful and meditative atmosphere.     One of the very nice historical place that worth to visit. The temple compound is very big. Best to visit during year end as the weather is not so hot. The temple consists of 4 sections: 1) The big Budda laying in sleeping position in the ruin chapel. 2) The main chapel 3) The main pagoda 4) The yard at the back of the pagoda Tourist is recommended to give respect to the place and local culture when visit. Visitors also can pray for your own good luck.

    Amazing place even though there were lots of people. This day was quite cool weather and that made it so chill to sit in the shade and enjoy. Last time I was here is it crazy hot. Really beautiful energy here.
