Museo del Baile Flamenco explores the origins and evolution of flamenco dancing, a pivotal part of Andalusian culture. Learn about some of its biggest names, including Cristina Hoyos, who set up the museum. The displays include an array of paintings, photography, and sculpture depicting flamenco. Be sure to visit the onsite shop, selling a wide variety of flamenco related souvenirs. Pick up a CD, DVD, or book on flamenco, some dancing shoes, or even a guitar. For an extra special gift, purchase something from the line of hand-made jewelry designed exclusively for the museum. Museo del Baile Flamenco reviews
We did not visit the museum - we attended the 7:00 (19 hr) show. In a word - spectacular. If they had tickets available for the 8:30 show we would have stayed for it as well. It's tight seating on.... more »
beautiful show brought by excellent dancers and musici . a one-hour show with spectacular highlights more »
We have seen Flamenco at other venues across Spain and they are really high standard and there is no reason to expect anything different here. Our visit was to the exhibition. We visit museums and exhibitions all over the world and this was really poorly put together. Because it was open plan the loud singing at the one floor could be heard everywhere and made it difficult to hear other parts of the museum. Lighting was poor. Headsets were needed (extra cost no problem for this service). Headsets for young people and options for detailed or light touch dialogue for users. The tour would also have been brought to life by more in depth detail about how the varying cultures from across the globe contributed to this fantastic art. We asked if there were feedback forms in the office upstairs and told yes...by reception. This consisted of a scrapbook for people to sign and put pictures in! Seriously this could be so good but needs professionals to pull it together. We would definitely go back if this happened.
MUST EXPERIENCE THE FLAMENCO SHOW IN THE EVENING! The most emotional dance I have ever watched in my life. Make sure to arrive nice and early to get front row seats as it's a first come first serve rule. There's no snacks but they serve alcohol. We had a sangria for €3 while watching the show :) There were 3 beautiful dancers, 2 singers and 1 guitarist. The costumes were beautiful and the dancers were full of emotions from head to toe. I walked out of there with my heart still racing from the intensity of the dances. 100% recommend to everyone stopping by Seville. Best €22 I have ever paid for. No film and photography allowed which is really how we could fully immerse ourselves in the dances.
