Lanzarote Aquarium, Costa Teguise

Aquarium · Hidden Gem · Zoo / Aquarium
Lanzarote Aquarium, the biggest aquarium in the Canary Islands, contains 33 tanks and hundreds of species. Look for species local to the islands, like the tiger fish. Check out the sharks from the underwater tunnel, although the huge ray may steal the show. Stroke the starfish and sea cucumbers. After seeing their display of garbage collected from the beaches of Lanzarote, you be inclined to pick up any trash you find on the sand. If you’re interested in diving with sharks, contact them about the advanced diving course in their tanks. • Not the biggest aquarium so didn’t expect much of it. €15 euro entrance to it, not bad pricing tbh. Little disappointed with it as lack of fish and the shark tunnel was lacklustre as only two sharks.....  more »
  • Had a few hours to spare so thought we would have a look around. 30 euros which is not too much considering the work they do. Loved watching the large aquarium with many species in, it was so relaxing  more »

  • We visited on a Sunday afternoon and had an amazing time! Our 5 year old son was in his element as he loves sea life. The highlight for us was the biggest stingray we have ever seen swimming right up to the viewing window! The aquarium is well kept and the tanks appear clean and large enough for the fish, the only exception to this is the turtle tanks however they have been rescued so require smaller tanks for their rehabilitation. We spent around 90 minutes here, i would recommend watching the large tank for a while on the seating area as it is beautiful to watch. The gift shop is great, lots of choice and well priced.
  • Nice aquarium , not very big but well presented and the tanks are clean and in good order . It’s not the sea life centre but some one interested in fish and aquariums will enjoy it . Went with my wife and 2 year old . Cost 30 euros to get in under 3 free. We got there about 10.15 and were just in time to follow the guy feeding the general displays fish around which was great . Just one last point a number of reviews complain about the turtles being in small tanks . They may have missed both are rescues and missing limbs . If they can’t reach the top they can’t breathe . It’s not the sea life centre a bit pricey but nice little aquarium hour well spent . The octopus is brill !
