Parc Guell, Barcelona

4.0
#1 of 72 in Parks in Barcelona
One of many notable city structures designed by famed architect Antoni Gaudí, Parc Guell is a garden complex built between 1900 and 1914. World Heritage–listed, this complex is noted for being one of the largest architectural structures in this part of Europe. Though it features some of the finest examples of Gaudí’s creativity, for many visitors the highlight is not the exquisite architecture, but the sweeping views. Just inside the main entrance is the interpretive visitor center, featuring an exhibit about Gaudí’s building methods, as well as displays on the history of the park. Wooded and laced with footpaths, the park attracts over 4 million visitors each year. The park can be reached on foot, but if you wish to avoid a vigorous uphill walk, hitch a ride on the public bus. • Yes... because it was already booked. The park is large but all are obviously at the structures designed by Gaudi. It's nice but... not obviously to wait two days... The question is... but if a Gaudi was born... There was to be seen in Barcelona............

  • The park is very beautiful, classic example of the modernist architecture of Antoni Gaudí, with many works of the architect and beautiful gardens for sightseeing. The ticket has an appointment and the place is always very crowded. To get there, use the Metro to the Alfonso X station and then take the Bus Guell, whose passage is already included in the entrance of the park! In this visit, some areas of the park were under construction, such as the Hipostila room, which is the column room and the banks of the main square!

  • Great place to have a good view of the city. We did not pay to get entry but you can see plenty from the outside and anyway there is a lot of construction going on blocking a lot of views. Would recommend it for a stroll but don't pay 10€ to get in!
  • I'm really disappointed because I thought that the entry to the stairwell, with the lizard that is really well-known, was free, well it isn't it's 10€ per adult (from 12 up) and 7€ per senior or child. Besides that the free part of the park it's a normal green park nothing more, because the more interesting parts of the park are all paid until 9pm because from 9pm or more the entry is completely free
