#1 of 57 in Wineries in Northern Portugal
Wine lovers and cultural connoisseurs will appreciate the renovated museum and historical cellars at Graham's Port Lodge. Discover the art of port wine-making through a cinematic exhibition on the Douro vineyards, which was added to the site in 2012. Consider a walk through the museum housing artifacts from the company, the land, and its history. You can tour the wine cellars at the lodge, which were established in 1890 and hold 3,200 barrels, as well as a vintage collection of 19th-century bottles. Finally, you may sample the port wines for yourself at a public or private tasting. You also can take in views of Porto and dine at the Vinum Wine Bar and Restaurant. Put Graham's Port Lodge at the forefront of your travel plans using our Vila Nova de Gaia road trip site.

  • Not only is this the highest quality porto, but the tour was informative and interactive. It is well worth the additional charge to taste vintage tawnies, where you are taken to a private room, with....  more »
  • An excellent tour by Teresa. Tasted 3 delicious ports. The view from the port lodge over the river is beautiful. Would have been lovely to stay for lunch.  more »

  • There are a number of angles to this place but on balance well worth a visit. The facility, in totality, must be one of the most impressive greatest cellar door operations on the planet and certainly the best I have been too (& have been to 100+ in my lifetime). Patio bar offers wonderful views and the stock range at cellar door is very deep and from what I can ascertain very fair priced be it by the glass or take away bottles. The cellar tour is not aimed at wine nerds (nor it should be) so if you have a good knowledge of port you won't be blown away but there is no doubt seeing the aged bottle stocks and the cellar rooms is a bit special.
  • This tour/tasting/restaurant was amazing. The restaurant has an AMAZING view and is worth the trek in and of itself. But the tour was wonderful and we felt very worth the price as well. We really enjoyed our tour guide and felt like the Graham’s history was incredibly interesting. We were also able to taste on of their best Ports using what they call their “Vintage of the Day” for 10 euro.
