Praia do Tamariz, Estoril

4.2
Surrounded by waterfront restaurants and watched over by a medieval-style castle, Praia do Tamariz has become one of the area's most popular beaches thanks to its proximity to Lisbon. Make your way along the expansive stretch of sand, grab an umbrella, and kick back while soaking up some rays or going for a dip in the shallow, calm coastal waters. You won't have trouble spotting the fortresslike residence owned by Monaco's royal family, which is built on the site of an older defensive structure. You can visit many bars and restaurants nearby. Keep in mind that parking is at a premium in the area. You might prefer to catch the train from Lisbon that runs frequently to the nearby town of Estoril. • Clean and not crowded beach. Unfortunately lost my sunglasses in waves..u can buy another one by the beach for 5 euros. :D  more »
  • Visit the waterfront. In addition to Tamariz Beach, Carcavelos, Moitas, Arujinha. There are 5-star hotels and golf courses to enjoy.

  • Crowded Beach but still very nice. Parasol and 2 beds runs 30$ for all day or 20$ for half day. Lots of food options right on beach. Train from lisbon takes you to the beach in about 25 minutes. Would recommend!
  • Calm, beautiful beach.
