Busan


The country's second city, Busan has often been referred to as South Korea's summer capital.
On the 21st (Sun), stroll through Dongbaekseom Island. On the 22nd (Mon), you'll have a packed day of sightseeing: stroll through Haeundae Beach, take in the spiritual surroundings of Haedong Yonggung Temple, then stroll through Songjeong Beach, and finally kick back and relax at Gwangalli Beach.

Gyeongju


One of the most popular tourist destinations in the Republic of Korea, Gyeongju combines a rich cultural heritage with mountain and coastal scenery.
Kick off your visit on the 24th (Wed): contemplate the waterfront views at Anapji Pond, then examine the collection at Gyeongju National Museum, then contemplate in the serene atmosphere at Bulguksa, and finally steep yourself in history at Seokguram Grotto.

Traveling by car from Busan to Gyeongju takes 1.5 hours. Alternatively, you can do a combination of train and bus. When traveling from Busan in May, plan for much warmer days and about the same nights in Gyeongju: temperatures range from 78°F by day to 56°F at night. Finish up your sightseeing early on the 25th (Thu) so you can go by car to Sokcho.

Tourism in Sokcho mostly revolves around the local national park, a UNESCO Biosphere Reserve.
Kick off your visit on the 25th (Thu): explore the wealth of natural beauty at Seoraksan National Park. Get ready for a full day of sightseeing on the next day: admire the sheer force of Biryong Falls, trek along Ulsanbawi Rock, and then contemplate the long history of Gwongeumseong Fortress.

One of east Asia's major cultural and financial centers, Seoul boasts five World Heritage Sites and a huge selection of museums, temples, shrines, palaces, parks, gardens, and glass-and-steel skyscrapers.
Your cultural itinerary includes sights like Cheonggyecheon Stream and Insadong. Visit Gyeongbokgung Palace and Jongmyo Shrine for their historical value. You can drive from Sokcho to Seoul in 2.5 hours. Another option is to take a bus. While traveling from Sokcho, expect a bit warmer days and about the same nights in Seoul, ranging from highs of 74°F to lows of 53°F. Finish up your sightseeing early on the 1st (Thu) so you can travel to Jeju.

The main town on the largest of Korea's islands, Jeju has a volcanic landscape protected by UNESCO.
Satisfy your inner culture vulture at Hallim Park and Jeju Folklore & Natural Museum. Get in touch with nature at Hamdeok Beach and Udo. When in Jeju, make a side trip to see Seongsan Ilchulbong in Seogwipo, approximately 1h 25 min away. On the 6th (Tue), give your taste buds a day to remember with a local gastronomic tour.
