Once a natural dock for indigenous fishers, Punta Jesus Maria now simply sits as a narrow strip of land formed by rising and lowering tides. Take in a panoramic view of the two neighboring volcanos Maderas and Concepcion in the background. Shady trees await in abundance at the nearby beach, which also features calm shallow waters, great for swimming or kayaking. The attraction is rather isolated, so don't expect many tourist facilities. Pack your own lunch and drinks.     This was a beautiful place to watch the sunset. It's a thin stretch of beach maybe 10 meters wide that extends out into the lake creating a division in the water. We stayed at La Punta Resort that is....  more »

    Nice place, but not so different from the beaches in other places of ometepe imo. The bars around are at a good price. So many people come at sunset that takes out some part of the beauty.  more »
