La Lecciona, Viareggio

#3 of 8 in Wildlife in Province of Lucca
Beach · Hidden Gem · Wildlife Area
Surrounded by blue sea and the mountains, La Lecciona remains one of the few Italian beaches still preserved in its natural state. It draws visitors with its dunes covered with restored wetlands, marshes, and pine forests. Pass through a grove to get to this last vestige of the Versilia coast. A campsite located a few hundred meters away from the beach is the only human touch visible in the area. Be careful in the water, since the bare-bones site has no lifeguards or any other type of service available nearby.
