  • In any season you come it is invariably clean, with shaved grass and a wonderful view that ranges from the hill of the Rivellino to the basilicas, to the necropolis. Don't miss it.

  • Tuscania is wonderous and captivating. It's the Italy that is a reward for having done all the requirements or otherwise escaped the silly guilt of something else - culturally imposing and somehow required - yet undone. This is the easy Italy I most enjoy, as it's intimate, soothing and ever so peaceful. The Italian government would agree wholeheartedly, having bestowed its official, rare and ever so prestigious Orange village/town tour status on Tuscania. The small gem known as Parco Torre di Lavello offers captivating views of the surrounding natural panorama and leads one along Via Roma to the imposing San Petro Basilica, built over the remains of an Etruscan Roman temple. All is situated within scope of a lovely square inclusive of a most impressive and historic fountain of relatively vast proportions. Tuscania is a village not to be missed if planning an itinerary broadly conducive to accessible range. Tuscania is wonderful and captivating. • Well-maintained park. Beautiful view of the plain below Tuscania and the view. Convenient to the parking lot below the walls, free, the others are all for a fee. If you want to taste something local there is an inn in the adjacent square. Ability to rest on benches in the shade or in the sun, or on the grass. Provided also with toilet.
