Chiamata anche chiesa delle "Monache" fu costruita agli inizi del 1400 dalle monache Clarisse grazie ad una ricca donazione di un nobile della città. Nel 1700 venne completamente rifatta dalle stesse monache e venne costruito il campanile. Nel 1887 la chiesa e il convento furono abbandonati e l'ordine delle clarisse disciolto. Subì notevoli danni durante il terremoto del 1982 ma nel 200 fu restaurata e ora il convento è sede del "Centro Studi Micaelici e Garganici" e della Biblioteca comunale. La leggenda vuole che in questo convento siano nate le "ostie ripiene" ,un dolce tipico di Monte Sant'Angelo. La chiesa come tutte quelle restaurate o rifatte nel 1700 si presenta all'interno in stile barocco, anche se è quasi sempre chiusa il posto è da visitare assolutamente, vicino la chiesa una splendida piazzetta e uno dei migliori ristoranti del paese! Also called Church of the "Nuns" was built at the beginning of 1400 by the Poor Clares thanks to a generous donation of a nobleman in the city. In 1700 he was completely rebuilt by the nuns and the Bell Tower was built. In 1887 the Church and convent were abandoned and Poor Clares dissolved. It suffered considerable damage during the earthquake of 1982 but in 200 was restored and now the convent is home to the "Centro Studi Micaelici and Gargano" and the municipal library. Legend has it that in this convent originated the "stuffed hosts", a typical dessert of Monte Sant'Angelo. The Church as all those restored or rebuilt in 1700 occurs within in Baroque style, although it is almost always closed the place is worth visiting, near the church a beautiful square and one of the best restaurants in the country!
