Immerse your senses in the sights, sounds, and tastes of Mercato Centrale. Pick up everything you need--meat, fish, cheese, olives, pasta, bread, and wine--to make a delicious Tuscan meal. Most vendors will let you try samples of their products. If you get hungry, grab a panini from a stall or sit down in one of the market's eateries. A local favorite is panino con bollito, a boiled beef sandwich where the bread is dipped in the cooking broth and topped with salsa. Wash it down with some fresh iced tea. • This is two stories. Upstairs is the "fast food" section and is expensive I thought. But DOWNSTAIRS you will find every fresh food item you can imagine as well as some prepared food spots. I cannot...

  • It's a very nice and characteristical place, there are a lot of shops with traditional and local food, on 2° floor there are many open restaurants, try it's very nice place.

  • Upstairs eateries make this the BEST place to eat a range of quite inexpensive different foods if you don't want to spend ages in a restaurant. Fantastic freshly made pizzas and fresh pasta dishes from €7. Open all day and evening. Very busy at lunchtime, quieter at dinner. Chose from different outlets, grab a seat and drinks are served to the table.
  • Would recommend whenever you are in Florence! Very stylish! Collective dining! Great choice of local food and wine! Just you need to go upstairs! :)
