  • So called because it is directed towards Turi and Taranto, it preserves outside the medieval walls of the abbey of St. Benedict and, at the base, the walls of the ancient Preclassic city of Norba, dating at least to the tenth century. Bc. The walls, so-called "pelasgic", date roughly to the VII-IV century. BC, according to a note typology in other localities, but with different chronologies.
