Trip Planner: Europe / Italy / Tuscany / Province of Pistoia / Pescia / Collodi / Parco di Pinocchio
An homage to Italy's most famous export, Pinocchio, Parco di Pinocchio includes a museum, a monumental garden, and a butterfly sanctuary. The museum is an archival site for documents, books, toys, and artifacts related to the Pinocchio story. The enclosed butterfly sanctuary features a tropical atmosphere where the colorful insects decorate the plants. Be the protagonist of a fairytale for a day among the landscaped gardens, where art, play, architecture, and storytelling meet. Go online and register as a collector so you can access a database of Pinocchio collections around the world. You can also buy tickets online. For children Parco di Pinocchio is a lovely park to explore and play. Adventure walkways with some interactive spots. Older park but still fun.

It's a great setting with a beautiful backdrop (as all of Italy) however I do find that the pricing for the kids is fair however the adults pay more when they shouldn't be paying at all as they cannot partake in any of the activities. There are 3 Mary-go-rounds which is the "major rides" then there is a puppet show (performed by the same 2 people by the rides). Finally there is the zip lining which us adults who paid a small fortune to go in are not allowed on.
This place was amazing. Thought it would be a tourist trap or American style theme-park, but it was filled with antique rides, play areas, fine sculptures, and lots of things for children to experience. We really enjoyed the adventure park, and a trip over to the nearby butterfly house is highly recommended as well.
