Since its creation for the National Horticultural Show in 1979, Rheinaue has been favorite among both locals and visitors to Bonn. The park offers 160 hectares (395 acres) to explore, with 125 hectares (309 acres) on the left bank of the Rhine and 35 hectares (86 acres) on the right. Take a walk along one the park's footpaths to discover the different gardens, including a Japanese garden, garden for the blind, and rose garden. Rent a boat and set sail on the Auensee Lake among the ducks and swans. The park is an ideal spot for a picnic, or you can grab a wurst and a beer from the cafe.   • Amazing park absolutely beautiful, the Japanese garden was a must to see. There is also an great flea market that happens about once a month. Also first place I ever saw wild fresh water otters!
  • Gorgeous park with walking, jogging, & bike paths. Immaculately maintained and super safe. I wish this was in my home state of California. 👍☺️
