Spend time with the world's leading collections of European paintings--and the largest collection of Rembrandt pieces--at Gemaldegalerie. This museum in the heart of Berlin features more than 3,000 European artworks from the 13th through 18th centuries. You can wander chronologically through the exhibits, admiring the works of renowned artists such as Botticelli, Dürer, and Titan. Because of the museum's sheer size, the onsite bistro makes for a nice stop between galleries. To visit Gemaldegalerie and get the most from your holiday in Berlin, create itinerary details personal to you using our Berlin trip itinerary planning website.
Spent several hours in this gallery. Very helpful audio guides. Quite a large collection of German, dutch, and Italian paintings. Very well presented. Best of all it was not crowded like other large galleries and could really take your time and enjoy the collection.
Very large selection of amazing Masters of art. You need many hours to see it all so maybe be selective. I loved the Rembrandt and Caravaggio paintings but there were so many others to appreciate.
