  When travelling from Rabati Castle to Vardzia, this is a nice stop on the way. You can walk around the castle, but mind your step as there are no guard rails at all.  more »

  Definitely worth a stop along the way to or from the Vardzia caves. Huge fortress with great over the surrounding valley.  more »

  Going inside is really not worth it. We did it but wouldn’t recommend. More impressive to have a nice view from across the river. Our driver stopped at the street there, and we enjoyed the view.

  Did not have the time to visit this fortress.. although it is worth stopping and taking the swinging bridge across the river to get a good look at the fortress and it's perfect position overlooking the river and inside the mountains. The walls are greatly in tact and it is quite an impressive position with great views down the valley.
