Wander the picturesque paths of Edwards Gardens, a park on Wilket Creek. Adjacent to Toronto's larger botanical garden, the park was established in 1956 on the site of an abandoned family estate. Roam its rocky pathways, cross arched bridges over scenic ponds, and relax in the gazebos. Walking the peaceful garden trails you can admire the roses, lush green trees, wildflowers, and rhododendrons, or enjoy the relaxing sounds of the fountains and waterwheels. • I went there on April 1, 2017. It is a very nice and well maintained garden right in the heart of Toronto. Although I visited in early spring and everything was still grey but the overall ambience was awesome. Wooden bridges further adds to an antique look. Please note that washrooms are still closed for the season so plan accordingly.
  • This is a great park with open spaces to run and play. They also have bridge crossings that traverse the creek. There's a learning center for kids to check out how composting works, how butterflies come to be, etc. It's a great park in the middle of the city next to downtown. You also don't hear much of the local traffic at all!
