Constructed at the beginning of the 20th century in the Gothic Revival style, Casa Loma represents the city's only castle. The midtown landmark once served as the formal residence of financier Henry Mill Pellat, known for helping bring hydroelectric power to Toronto. Originally the largest private home in Canada, the grandiose 98-room castle now acts as a museum, often used for wedding ceremonies and movie shoots. Choose between several themed guided tours, or pick up a digital audio guide at the entrance and explore the castle and gardens on your own. Using our international travel planner, Toronto attractions like Casa Loma can form part of a personalized travel itinerary.

Ce château est vraiment impressionnant. Le propriétaire avec des goûts avant-gardistes et dispendieux. Took a visiting relative from overseas who wanted to see what his parents saw 25+ years ago. While a nice tour with some interesting war artifacts, it is simply not worth the price. We went off season... more »
Absolutely beautiful site to visit. You wear a headset that can be found in the lower level and then tour around this amazing old home and learn about the family. Amazing architecture that is rare to see in modern buildings. Best spot is an amazing view of the city the roof if you climb the winding stairs to the top floor. Keep accessibility and stairs in mind if you have a stroller. I think there was an elevator but it won't reach all the floors.
The site is absolutely stunning! In my opinion a must visit when in Toronto. The house itself is quite beautiful, but the views are fantastic. Great shots from every angle. It also helps to understand a little more of Toronto’s history. There many steps to reach all areas so be prepared.
