Admire an impressive masterpiece of Bhutanese architecture at Dzongdrakha Monastry, a complex made up of four shrines perched on a cliff overlooking terraced fields. With massive walls painted white with orange ocher lining in the upper decks, the temple complex features well-preserved paintings and colorful murals depicting Wheel of Life and scenes from the life of Buddha. An integral part of this scenic complex is a footbridge across Paro River which connects two white towers, now on the tentative list of World Heritage Sites. Observe monks chanting and performing their daily chores. Be prepared to show some ID if you are not visiting with a guide.
