Specialty Museum · Hidden Gem · Museum
Dedicated to a 1948 film starring Orson Welles, Third Man Museum appeals to movie buffs and history enthusiasts. Shot in 1948 in Vienna, "The Third Man" originally received mixed reviews and only ran in theaters for a few weeks. Today, the film is considered a classic thanks to its evocative portrayal of a damaged city in the years immediately following World War II. The museum contains a collection of film-related artifacts, including signed photos of stars, posters, and a 1930s projector used to screen a short clip from the black-and-white movie. • If you're a fan of the third man movie this museum is for you. The museum is own by a husband and wife duo, both are very familiar with the film and knowledgeable. The museum consists of three neighboring buildings. Two of the buildings have interesting memorabilia and the other building has artifacts from the time the movie is set (post world War 2). Overall the museum was an interesting experience, however, if you want the full experience you need to have seen the movie
  • Well. You need to love the film (and why wouldn't you? ) to appreciate the Museum. But the Vudnna context room was very interesting for all. And we were lucky to see the Zither concert as well. Lovely people!
